Celebrate the magic of the holiday season with Gardens Aglimmer, Louisville's favorite winter tradition! Now in its sixth year, this enchanting event transforms the Waterfront Botanical Gardens into a dazzling display of festive lights and holiday cheer.

The Waterfront Botanical Gardens was started by Botanica, an umbrella organization for the local gardening community started in 1993 to help enlighten, entertain, and educate the community about the botanical world. In 2001, Botanica learned that it was the beneficiary of a trust established by member Helen Harrigan, a local gardener with a desire to see a botanical garden and conservatory built in Louisville. Helen's gift reshaped the focus of this organization, and we set about our work to create what has become Louisville's Waterfront Botanical Gardens.

Gardens Aglimmer is a timed event with time slots at 7:15pm & 7:45pm.
The last entry is at 8:00pm and the lights are turned off at 8:30pm each night.

What to Expect at Gardens Aglimmer 2025:
Spectacular Light Displays: Stroll through pathways illuminated with giant glowing flowers, shimmering snowflakes, twinkling archways, and sparkling deer.

Holiday Activities: Write a letter to Santa, create a festive craft, and even meet Santa and Mrs. Claus!
NEW! Holiday Specs 3D glasses for sale to add more fun to your Gardens Aglimmer experience.

Food & Beverage: Warm drinks and sweet treats will be for sale at the outdoor Jingle All the Way Cafe, and Frosty's Tinsel Tavern, a new bar inside the Graeser Family Education Center will offer beer, wine, and festive signature cocktails for purchase.
