The Texas Civil War Museum is not only the largest west of the Mississippi River but it also houses the most comprehensive collection of Union and Confederate Civil War artifacts in the county, including the largest number of historical Texas battle flags in the state,m along with an exquisite Victorian dress collection. Included in the entrance fee is our commissioned movie Our Homes- Our Rights, Texas in the Civil War. Magnolia Mercantile Gift shop stocks hundreds of books, souvenirs, specialty Victorian, Southern and Texas style items.
